In Box Pushing, A RCC box culvert is sequentially pushed from one side of embankment towards the other side, slowly. The Box, which is passing below the existing road is cast in situ in form of small segments. It is then placed in the alignment of the crossing, perpendicular to the traffic above and slowly pushed with help of Hydraulic Cylinders. Extreme precautions are taken to prevent cave in and causing damage to live loads above the Box. The Construction of Passenger / Vehicle under Pass, below live traffic is challenging to say the least.
